Black Maca Capsules

Maca, Lepidium meyenii Walp. (Brassicaceae), has 13 different varieties, including black maca which may help increase fertility in men and women. Black maca root is the rarest of all maca roots, accounting for only ⅙ of the annual harvest.

The black of the roots can be primarily found on the outside of the black maca root’s skin.
The inside of the root is an off white color, for black maca as well as red maca and yellow maca. The maca root is then dried, cleaned and ground into the maca root powders commonly found today.
